How is Virtual Assistance Different from
an Administrative Employee or Hired Temp?

In educating people about how we are different than the alternatives, we simply
explain that Virtual Assistance is much cheaper than payrolling an employee or
hired temp.  VAs do not charge their clients for idle time, bathroom visits, personal
phone calls, computer downtime, lunch hours, sick leave, vacation leave or personal
time off.   Additionally, clients do not have the hassles of supplying VAs with office
equipment,  office furniture, office space, payroll taxes or company benefits.

The perception is that the cost of working with a VA is more expensive than
employing an assistant. The reality is that clients save more than half the amount
they spend on employees when working with VAs. The reason being that employers
usually don't take into consideration the amount of money they spend on all the
items listed above. When those items are monetarily valued and added to the base
salary, the money expended for employees is much more costly than what would be
invested in a VA (see the comparison chart below).

Furthermore, there's the added value of knowing that the VA is equally looking out for the success of their client's business. A VA knows the client and the client's business so well that we can intuitively respond to the needs of business, which relieves the client of having to oversee every need or issue. Additionally, the VA is trained to be an expert problem-solver — a quality that is highly valued by clients.
